Lower Eyre Health Service - Community Health Services
Lower Eyre Health Services, provides
to the community a number of Community and Allied Health Services. These services
are available at the Cummins Hospital campus and the Tumby Bay Hospital campus.
As part of the Lower Eyre Community
Health Services dedication to the youth of the district, we have released a
Youth Services Information Booklet, entitled 'Where do you get it?' It is a
valuable directory of services available to the youth of the district.

A large proportion of these services
are specifically funded by the Commonwealth and is called a Regional Health
Service (RHS) This funding has been available since January 2002, and is effective
for a three year period.
The Outcomes & objectives
of the Regional Health Services program are:
Improve the health and wellbeing of people in rural Australia
Improve access to quality primary health care services
Play a role in the recruitment and retention of health professionals in rural
communities.
Enable flexible delivery of services
Assist service viability.

What Social Work services are provided by Lower Eyre Health Services?
The social work service assists people by providing them with the skills to cope with difficult life circumstances, including grief & loss, stress and other emotionally traumatic experiences.
The social worker is a member of the Community Health Team and participates in health initiatives, such as community awareness campaigns.
Who Uses Social Work services?
Anyone can make use of this free health service. If another service is more appropriate, the social worker could arrange a referral for you.
Referrals can be made to a Social Worker by:
