Health Promotion Program Coordinator
Eastern
Eyre Health and Aged Care Inc. would like to welcome Kelly McLaren to their
Community Services Team. Kelly will be taking on the role of Health Promotion
Program Coordinator, which will also include a large component of youth development.
Prior to taking on her new role Kelly has been working as a Community Development
Officer (Youth, Sport and Recreation) through a partnership with the District
Councils of Cleve, Kimba and Franklin Harbour, the Office for Recreation and
Sport and Eastern Eyre Health and Aged Care Inc. A strong portion of this position
was youth focused, which Kelly looks forward to continuing within her new position.
Kelly completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Health Promotion) at Flinders
University in 1999 and from there worked as a Health Promotion Project Officer
in a Public Health Unit in Western Australia. Although she enjoyed her time
in WA, Kelly is glad to have returned to SA and is very much enjoying life on
the Eyre Peninsula! Within her new role Kelly hopes to work closely with the
Health Promotion team to further develop and strengthen the Program. She will
also maintain and expand on her role within Eastern Eyre Schools, Youth Advisory
Committees and youth projects.
Kelly is based in the Cleve cluster
office and can be contacted on either 8628 2460 or 0402 254 159 or email mclaren.kelly@saugov.sa.gov.au.
She welcomes all Health Promotion ideas from the community and EEHAC staff.
